@nathaliez57503 years ago I’m French-born Chinese, so I know exactly what are the western media says but I also know how the real China is since I used to go there almost every year before covid.
It is truly tiring to hear from people around me that China is bad meanwhile they have never set a foot there.
So, many thanks to you for showing us the true side of China 😊

@thomascody19733 years ago You are absolutely right, China is awesome. When I was in Zhejiang Province I was surprised at how all you needed was your phone to pay for stuff with WeChat or Alipay. How you can walk at night and feel safe. I miss being able to get around with ease without a car. ... 117

@mikeb28473 years ago Jason this is so true! I was like you, it wasn’t until I first visited China that I had my mind blown as to how different (in a good way!) it was, compare to my preconceived ideas. 272

@BestofChina3 years ago Many people just join the criticising army without seeing China themselves, that's pathetic. Btw, minorities actually get some privileges for education, and sometimes for work too. Minority cultures have been promoted extensively, definitely some of the "best of China"! ❤️ ... 391

@mindmybusynassm16453 years ago Right on entry to China you will notice, nothing bothers you. Everyone there minds their own business. Your eyes enjoy what you see, you feel relaxed and happy asking yourself why so different, so huge everything, yet feels so good everywhere. ... 163

@francishung7773 years ago As an expat working in China, I had no trouble exchanging My Canadian driver's license for a local one (now you need a written exam). I also bought my condo, traveling to most major cities without requiring any approvals or permissions. I also knew that as minority races in China, they will get extra benefits such as lower requirements for university entrance exam. All in all, one wouldn't get discriminated being a minority here. ... 168

@kayliey79493 years ago Glad that my parents have told me about China since I was young and always tells me stories about how it was back then. So when the western area tried to talk bad about China I hardly believed it but half of my friends kept saying China is bad and it’s hard to listen to them talk bad about China, so I just told them to ‘shut up if you never been to China’. ... 129

@yawenzoraluan31483 years ago My mother's side of the family belongs to Mongolian minority group, even though nobody still speaks the language nor practice the customs due to generation of culture assimilation ( probably tracking back to late Qing Dynasty) My dad is Han, so I can be either ethnic group in China. I ended up having Mongolian listed on my national ID. In the Chinese college entrance exam, I was awarded extra 3 points due to my minority status. For an exam that millions of students takes, 3 points can make a big difference on one's ranking and chances to be admitted to prospective college programs. ... 4

@gz85463 years ago I'm from UK, love to visit China. Problem is the visa+embassy fees is just over £200 per person, so family of 4 that's £800 for the visa, too expensive for us. The only visa they offer is 2 years unlimited entries, this is good for people that has family or business there, but as tourists we only require 1 entry and price should be more affordable. People need to visit to see the real China, so China should encourage this too, but China making it difficult, esp for British people for tourism. ... 14
