@philanaemic4 years ago A man who's Youtube channel consists of 90% videos of him screaming about fat people in his car, really shouldn't be commenting on anyone elses maturity. 156

@efromme4 years ago Alan used to do fitness related content , now he just yells fat people and cusses a bunch to make up for his lack of vocabulary. 246

@meeks27024 years ago Alan Roberts the kinda guy to threaten his daughter's bf when they first meet, and say shit like "If you ever hurt her...". Obvious masculinity complex is obvious. I honestly can't stand guys like that. 102

@unnaturalatrophy80734 years ago He kept deleting my comments when I told him he claimed to LIFT the weight and you need to stop hugging his nuts also that he is using this to promote his programs. Luckily I knew he will do this and kept copying and pasting my comments🤣 ... 130

@Seahawks19764 years ago After he built his channel on calling out bullshit it renders him a phony. Jeff was even in the comments saying look I’m 40 deadlifting 500 lbs lol. 82

@AnindyaMahajan4 years ago Greg changed his opinion on Jeff and just called him out completely! Holy shit, you and Curlean-X did it! This is huge! 52
  • @
@3ncore7064 years ago Wait I understand now! When Jeff says to do 10x10 with 80% of your max he really means to do 50% of your max and put fake plates on until it LOOKS like 80% of your max. What a genius! 47

@TJ-fu5kr4 years ago I’ve hate-watched Alans channel for a while now but this incident really stood out. You can’t build your entire channel on “calling out fitness bull sh*t” and then all of a sudden pretend like this doesn’t matter because there are more important things going on in the world lol ... 35

BTW, Greg changed his mind and admitted he wasn't informed enough, you should address that in one of your future videos. Greg is really a cool dude, he just doesn't do his research properly sometimes, he's definitely not nut-hugging Jeff. ... 51

@billylatin43764 years ago fake Plates are the same as fake natties, the double standards are laughable 34

@kugelblitz29434 years ago Shit just got real. Athlean x responded to Dr. Doucette, but tried to shift the focus from fake weights to fake natty status. 4
  • @
@Aron-ve5fe4 years ago Jeff lifted fake 45s , the level of Nether warcraft beast. Whats next? Trampoline one arm clapping muscle ups with salto? 46
  • @
@triton8274 years ago Fake plates does matter considering Jeff claims to be a strength coach and sells programs. Anyone who defends that is just bad. And I'm sick of Jeff has degrees, he was the pt for the Mets, has millions of followers etc. Sorry none of that matters if you give lots of shitty advice and deceive your audience. Nobody is above criticism and if they try to pull a fast one then they need to be called out no matter who they are. Btw the mic drop was great lol! ... 54
  • @
@BrandonWilliams-wf6hg4 years ago I've been asking regular non lifters about their opinion on this. I told them the story of how he claimed to lift 500 pounds when it is really only 300. And asked would you trust him and buy stuff from him? And the answer was always "no because if he lies about that he will lie about other stuff" ... 11

@Ettoyeaz4 years ago Damn this video is facts and fire. I started training watching videos on youtube, especially Jeff's videos and I thought he was the best out there, sometimes I noticed other fitness youtubers had different opinions on some things, but it wasn't a big deal. I had never realised how much bullshit he was saying, I had never read his impossible programs because I didn't care about them, I organise my training by myself and I missed all those old videos about FuNcTiOnAl TrAiNiNg... until this whole thing about him and his fake weights came out... I'm very grateful to you and Curlean X for opening my eyes, thanks, continue your fight, people deserve to know the truth. ... 24

@vinrobinson3574 years ago Alan always talks about Jeff but Jeff doesn't seem to do anything for Alan. I mean if you're 'best friends' how hard is it to throw the guy a shout out or a collab. Seems like Alan is more of a fan boy who has a man crush on Jeff. I wonder what scraps Jeff throws his little doggie that keeps him so loyal. ... 15

@kamranahmed59404 years ago Alec I have been watching your videos for a couple weeks now, old to new, and honestly I'm very impressed. I have had to train due to my career since I was 16 now I'm 35 and even before then I must have started when I was very young back then due to boxing and martial arts. Your the best at this, no BS your the best i have seen from training advice and explanation to your honest nature. Well done, I'm sure you will make your mark on this industry worldwide..I'm in the UK and I have recommended your channel to many seasoned lifters, fighters and people who need strength for a living and they all completely mirrored my sentiment. Well done again and keep doing what your doing. ... 3

@danvis67894 years ago Honestly I’ve followed Jeff for years and while his PT advice always helped whenever I was injured I always was frustrated at why I was lifting to failure and yet after 3 years in size and strength had progressed so little compared to others other then getting lean. With all this coming out it’s definitely opened my eyes to really just look more at Jeff as a PT as opposed to a trainer for most of his tips(not all but most). While I don’t think Greg is really lying since he’s said on camera that One of Jeff’s programs were trash I genuinely just think that he doesn’t care about the weights. But Alan really did just take his opinion and run with it. Idk man it’s wild but while I used to not appreciate what you said after actually listening instead of being defensive of a YouTuber I got to say you’ve earned a sub. And I’ll be running one of Barbell Medicines template from now on instead of Jeff’s, hopefully some real gains are in the horizon. ... 6

@Jake_Godsil_Music4 years ago I was disappointed that you started calling Alan names until I saw his shitty “I had to look this guy up” comments, insinuating your argument wasn’t valid because you have a lower subscriber count than him. Sometime in the fall, he made a video complaining about how one of the personal trainers who runs Biggest Loser was calling him irrelevant in his DMs because of his lack of followers and wouldn’t have an actual argument with him. This was enough proof for Alan to claim to his audience that he had won the argument. The hypocrisy is mind boggling and the thrashing you gave him was well deserved. I’m for sure giving you a sub and trying out some zombie squats tomorrow! ... 7

@michaelthreepeat4 years ago You put a little spicy sauce into it, but it was deserved. I was a subscriber of him until he started to only try to make easy money selling "accountability" and telling fat people that they should put down the fork down (I'm a certified nutritionist Btw, so I fight the fight, the real fight, not online but with real persons, but I don't condone his practices, oh no). It's not a fitness channel anymore. Btw have you seen the Sean Nalawanyj response video? I liked it, perfectly crafted, and I've always enjoyed his advice. Finally I also wanted to tell you that, at 42, I started applying your advice to regain my vertical and I would be crazy happy to dunk the ball again (5'11 dude with Raptors arms who could dunk until my first of 4 consecutive calves tears ay 37 yo). I'm loving what I saw from your vertical leap advice. Keep up the good work, reals recognize real athletes, and some people have a brain, don't get discouraged by this mountain. ... 1

@Matt-fq6ly4 years ago Adding to the times he said the amount of weight he was using, I remember in one clip he said he was one arm incline dumbbell pressing...with I believe he said "85lb" power block dumbbell. I don't think he was, because of the fact he was barely even shifting his body to counter weight the 85lbs he has on one side of his body...it seemed more like 35lbs...I wonder if we can find that clip and see exactly the power block weights with the color weight rod things and count the actual weight. I bet he's holding one of the 50lb max power blocks, not the ones that go up to 90lb...im sure we can spot the difference ... 6

@asdf1234_.4 years ago This is how it goes:
People are too emotionally attached to fitness YouTubers. I've watched all of your channels and still enjoy and find value in all of them even if someone makes a mistake (but some definitely matter more than others). As long as I actually have my own critical thinking skills and knowledge I can figure things out so it's fine ... for me and you. If you were a newer inexperienced person in the gym (which Jeff often markets to) you likely would not know when Jeff makes his white lies or leaves out essential advice and you'd be lacking real maximized strength and muscle building plans (and you your ignorant ass would thank Jeff for your noob gains from half rep smith machine scapula NOT retracted bench press). Already knowledgeable people can still watch videos from anybody and separate optimal vs effective vs suboptimal advice and anything they are unsure of they can test it out or research. So this wouldn't screw us over but it could (likely has) messed up the day (months, years?) of some skinny guy who just wanted dem gainz who could have just hopped on a novice strength routine to get started where he learns to master his form, finish with his face pulls, and implemented mobility/flexibility routines throughout the week to make Jeff happy in his sleep without paying him and then learned as they went along. ...

@JoesMarineRush4 years ago Around 2 years ago when I started getting serious about lifting. I followed a lot of Jeff's advice for a year and it wasn't optimal imo, especially about bench and squat form. I also remember the backlash you received for your early videos about Jeff. Within it, you can fill out the template with a drop down menu that gives you the different exercises which will fill out the actual templates for weeks 1-16. In addition, I made a stats sheet that allows you to write down your 1 rep maxes for each of the main lifts you've selected which will automatically calculate what weights you'll be using throughout the 16 weeks. I've never been a fan of athlean-x. He always came across as a modern YouTube version of the old men's health magazines, with the bunk "3 ways to grow your chest instantly" crap. I only watched his vids cause I love jesse...dude's hilarious! I liked Alan, but he's kinda become too repetitive with the same vids over and over about the fat acceptance community. He use to be a no bs call out channel, but how will he maintain knocking off the frauds when he did this video? I know jeff his best friend, but, he shouldve just plead the 5th on this one... ...

@kylewallace2984 years ago I usually don't comment on youtube much, but I've felt compelled to chime in on the Athlenx situation. I left this following long-winded, but yet still civil comment on Alan Robert's fake weight response video. The comment was promptly either deleted or hidden in some way. Lol.
You can defend (I don't know fucking how) Athleanx for using fake weights, or "prop" weights, as you so eloquently churched it up. But all your work is still ahead of you, you still have the shitty and unsafe training advice of Athleanx to defend. But you won't do that, since there's "shit going on."
Funny how you've made videos throughout this entire pandemic, but when you're forced to make a video on Athleanx trickery, it's somehow a fucking chore that needs no attention due to current world issues.
"Jeff is one of my best friends, so I'm gonna be biased." That pretty much sums your channel up. You've solidified your voice as a dishonest one in YouTube fitness.
