“Innocent until proven guilty”, in context to this phrase, it’s very obvious that in India the burden of proof to prove any allegation lies upon the prosecution. Until and unless, an accused is proved guilty, he or she cannot be considered a criminal. An accused person is an entity who has been alleged to have committed an offense. Our Indian Constitution and CrPC provide certain rights to an arrested person that cannot be taken away. In this video, we have discussed the most important rights provided to the arrested persons and the duties of a police officer that has to be kept in mind while making an arrest. 00:00- Rights of the arrested person 01:12- What happens during arrest 04:17- No detention for more than 24 hours 05:09- Right to be represented by lawyer of your choice We hope you find this video useful in your various competitive exam preparation! @joyroy62283 years ago What is the remedie or solution for not getting arrested on friday. Or if arrested on friday, some provisions should be there so that the accuse doesn' t stay in jail for two more days. 1

@sumanmondal23573 years ago On the last part of the video, i would like to adduce that:
generally, when a person is arrested by the police, he is produced before the ld. id="hidden9" chief judicial magistrate (cjm) or ld. Additional cjm, within 24 hrs from the time of arrest excluding the time of journey. Then before the court, the prosecution ( public prosecutor) intends to get the bail rejected, this is commonly known as remand filing.
now, it cannot be anticipated that when the police will arrest a person. In a circumstance police may arrest a person on saturday night, but he has to produce the accused before the ld. Cjm by sunday, for that purpose though sunday being a holiday, cjm courts are kept open.
it would be inappropriate to say " police generally conducts arrest on fridays"
