@Chawachee5 years ago I remember I bought this solely because I wanted the hilt. I honestly don’t care much for having the blade, lights, and sounds. I just wanted the hilt. This was the cheapest I could find that looked decent without being $200 dollars just for the basic saber. I was disappointed when you couldn’t take the blades out of them, so I decided to preform some surgery on the saber and took it completely apart. Again, I don’t care for the lights and sounds. I just wanted a beautiful display piece, so when I got to the guts of the saber, I just ripped everything out. Put it back together, and boom, perfect display piece. It honestly looks kinda cool when you look down into the emitter because I left some of those wires in there so the inside looks damaged. I also left the battery back full of (used) batteries so it still has a good amount of weight to it. ... 1

Thanks for the video. It was extremely helpful. Not to mention it saved me a bunch of money. I'll gladly pick up these Black Series lightsabers instead of spending way too much on the older master replicas.

@Vandal428 years ago There have always been 2 versions of Luke's Blue Lightsaber + 3rd Anakin version
- A New Hope has the glass gem trigger
- Empire Strikes Back has the Copper Circuit trigger and burgundy buttons
- Anakin's from Ep 2, 3- looks similar but the trigger is silver & gold w/ symbols engraved and gold buttons
The ESB version is the one used in The Force Awakens, plus 10 years ago when FX lightsabers came out - all versions except ESB Luke, were sold in stores. ESB Luke HAD to be ordered directly from Master Replicas - thats why they're more expensive if you find them online.

Thanks for the video! Do you know how these hold up against the original Force FX lightsabers? I noticed from your video that the new Black Series seems to be brighter, louder and more sensitive to motion and touch but it is hard to tell from Youtube.
Do you have any comparisons of the original Master Replica Force FX to these new Black Series ones? ...

@hdjoe228 years ago Just wondering where you have these displayed? I just got kylo ren, I have an 05 master replicas Vader already and I'm mounting them on the wall in my sons room. I plan to get anakins as soon as it available again, and whatever other sky walker sabers come out. Wall mounting vertically helps keep them in their shape since horizontal placement will eventually bend the blade ...

I have Obi Wan and Luke Skywalker´s RoTJ lightsabers, they are a fine piece of collection.
However, I am concerned about how this kind of things stop may stop working when they become old.
Is there a recommended maintenance or some specific instruction to make em last a lot of years without problems? (I know the rubber in some of them may degrade, m concern is mostly in its functionality of making em turn on)
